Eddie will be calling Alabama his home for the summer. He left last Sunday and will be there until August 15. Fortunately, we will be able to visit him a few times while he is gone. Eddie is at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama for both officers' training and chaplain training. He will be in officers' training for four weeks and chaplain training for two weeks. He will travel the United States for the last 35 days visiting other bases and shadowing chaplains. (One of his stops is in Ft. Worth. Heidi and I will definitely be making a trip.) This training is all part of Eddie becoming an Air Force Chaplain. It will be a challenging summer without him. However, with God's strength and the company of family and friends, Heidi and I will make it through. We will be traveling a lot during the summer to help the time pass by quickly. Please pray for Eddie while he is gone. It will be more challenging for him than it will be for us. I have his email address and his mailing address if anyone would like to send him something.

I'll be praying for him and you too! I'm glad you'll be able to see him a couple of times. It's hard, but it will be over soon, just keep thinking about that part:)
Ashley, I know God will see y'all through this time of seperation. When I think of the BIG picture, I get excited to see how God is going to use you both in this new ministry. I am happy, though, that you and Heidi will be able to see Eddie throughout the summer. All of you are in my thought and prayers.
